Leon Schuijt

St. Basil's Cathedral, Moscow

General view of model

This is a paper model kit published by Leon Schuijt, presented in a pack size 438mm x 303mm (i.e. a little larger than A3). It contains:

a cover sheet with one large and one small colour photograph of the finished model on one side, and a brief history and even briefer "building tips" in five languages (Dutch, French, English, German and Russian) on the other,
8 card sheets of model parts, with approximately 230 parts in all.
one sheet 303mm x 222mm with two black and white line diagrams of the finished model with the parts identified.

The model is in scale 1:160. The parts are organised into lettered assemblies A to M, and numbered within each assembly. Construction proceeds by assembly in letter and number order, but I chose to defer the domes and (very fragile) finials to the end.

For my model, I scanned the pages and reduced them by 50%, making it approximately 150mm wide by 130 mm deep by 150mm high.
